“You Both Follow” Feature on Twitter
Anyone on Facebook knows about the “mutual friends” feature which shows you who this random jabroni that wants to add you knows that you know. You feel a little bit more comfortable adding a stranger when you see he/she has 25 mutual friends. The likelihood that you encountered that person drunk at a mutual friends party goes up exponentially and a friendly acceptance to a friend request is almost imminent. Well Twitter has decided to do something exactly the same but call it “You Both Follow.”
Right now the feature is in testing, but you may spot it when you log on as 10 percent of users on Twitter can see it. While this feature may never make it to a public launch, it is interesting to see Twitter trying out features that would legitimize it’s standing as a social networking site rather than a one way street of communication.
