LAX Gets a Culinary Upgrade
Anyone who does enough flying knows that at each and every airport you could encounter the staples of terminal dining: Chili’s, Panda Express, Burger King, Subway, Quiznos, and if your lucky a Houllihan’s (in Hartford International Airport). Los Angeles International Airport is no exception to a lack of food flare but all that is about to change. Local food favorites are getting the chance to bid on getting in on the air traffic action such as Koreatown’s Park’s Bar-B-Q, Groundwork Coffee, M Cafe, and Border Grill Taqueria. It’ll definitely be a nice change to not have to debate whether I’d like a personal sized pizza from California Pizza Kitchen or head down the escalator to get a quarter pounder from McDonalds. I also feel like it adds a bit of Los Angeles culinary culture to the travel experience. Maybe you weren’t able to stop by one of the local eateries on your business trip, well fear not, you can grab one before you get on your flight. I’m looking forward to see who wins the bidding process. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Park’s Bar-B-Q.
