Break Me Off A Piece of that DiggBar

The dreaded DiggBar is being officially eliminated in the new version of the popular blog submission tool Digg.  Kevin Rose, the new CEO of Digg is automatically winning over skeptics of Digg by getting rid of the unpopular toolbar. One of the major complaints about the original toolbar was its effect on URLs and how by shrinking it affected the SEO qualities of the publishers. At one point it seemed as if Digg would stand behind its toolbar to the death, but a fresh face is providing a fresh start for the company.  If I was Kevin Rose, I would not try to implement another toolbar into the company for a while.  Instead, I would focus more on developing better working products to implement Digg on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.  Everyone hates the feel of a cluttered browser and the last thing I want to see is a huge DiggBar under my URL.
