SXSW: Where My Ladies At?

Time to leave those iPhones at home, girls. In another demonstration of how technology can creeps us all out, a new website was just revealed at SXSW with the sole purpose to letting dudes that spend way too much time lurking on their computers know where you’re at. Coded by friends of Digg.com’s Kevin Rose, Wheremyladies.at searches real-time mobile applications such as FourSquare and Gowalla and crosschecks the check-ins against a master list of female names, thereby letting all the fellas know where all the fly honeys be at. At it’s worst, it’s an even creepier version of Stalqer. At it’s best, it’s just one more way to increase the number of times girls get hit on by awkward dudes. We think the smart money is in betting that there will be a huge spike in Amazon sales of The Game and fuzzy top hats, followed by an even bigger spike in sales of pepper spray and rape whistles.

Five bucks says that the binoculars are just a reason to use a pick-up line that ends with the phrase, “scoping you out”.
