Nerd Hoax: Conan & Revision3

[Updated 8:04PM PST: Received confirmation from multiple sources that #omgconan was indeed a hoax. Sorry, dudes, our fave unemployed talk show host is still unemployed -- or at least not employed by Revision3.]

Calm down, folks. Everyone who’s flipping out over the news that Conan O’Brien, everyone’s favorite unemployed talk show host, has joined internet television portal Revision3, can now calm down. Apparently, the “news” is just a hoax, intended to turn into one of the biggest internet nerd virals ever. SXSW Digg party attendees were reportedly told to tweet the fake news along with a #omgconan hashtag in efforts to see how far the news would spread. Some tweets even claimed that O’Brien took the stage. The few Clement & Co. staffers left at home were definitely stoked enough to well up with tears of joy, which only moments later turned into tears of sadness when our sources at the party told us it was all a joke. And yes, if you must know, our happy tastes a lot like our sad. Sorry folks, nothing to see here. You can all go back to watching Pacquiao-Clottey fight and getting drunk with your friends.
