Good Design for Haiti

In an effort to “highlight the scope of the Haiti earthquake, as well as the aid given to help recover from the disaster,” Good Magazine’s latest infographic contest is a collaboration with Design for Haiti.  Submissions are up for viewing and they are pretty darn excellent.

Obviously, none of us would wish for such a tragedy to occur, but the relief efforts bring to light the different ways we all can help out in a cause.  The sheer variety of design and information presented in these designs goes to show how powerful designers can be when using their talents.  Design for Haiti understands this, as it is brought to us by the same man (Aaron Perry-Zucker) who did Design for Obama.  Putting design skills to use and bringing together the community speaks to something human in designers, something not lost on the people who spend the hours of their day pushing pixels.
